Titanium Flat Iron

For those of us that have never used a flat iron, just the words will bring up fears of frightening looking hair straighteners from the past. The titanium flat iron is far from anything scary and you will surprised at how many different ways that it can be used. Its not just for straitening hair any more! In fact a titanium flat iron can be used to make little curls and flips in your hair that you might not have ever imagined.

Before you get started with your titanium flat iron you need to make sure that your hair is completely clean. If you have any hair sprays or other styling products in your hair then you could end up with damage to your hair and a big clumpy mess. So make sure that your hair is freshly washed and conditioned. You can also use a heat treatment or thermal spray in your hair to help protect it from damage. Once your hair is clean and dry you should allow your hair to dry completely or blow dry it and brush it out so that you don’t have any tangles.

Using a titanium flat iron will give your hair a lot of shine and it will become very easy to use. I suggest getting a titanium flat iron that has rounded edges so that you don’t end up with dents in your hair. The temperature of your titanium flat iron should be under 300 degrees if you have fine, damaged or chemically treated hair, if you have thick or very curly hair then you may want to bump it up to 350-400 degrees. I suggest starting out at the lowest temperature on your titanium flat iron and then going up if you need to.

Now that you have your titanium flat iron set right and your hair nice and dry you can get started. Use small sections of hair at a time and start from the base of your head and move forward from there. If you have longer hair then you may need to pin up the sections that you are not working with yet. Move the titanium flat iron through your hair gentility and slowly. If you would like to add a little curl or flip at the bottom just move the titanium flat iron in the direction that you would like it to go and give it a little twist at the end! Once you have your hair styled then you can give it a light spritz with some hair spray and your good to go!
